Integrate the Domain of Emotions into Your Wellness Programs
If you are committed to developing an emotional wellness program in your organization, we can help you. We offer a proactive, learning-based approach toward emotional health. Your employees will love our programs because they are not based on the idea that they have a “problem” to be fixed. We will help you normalize emotions and make them available as support tools for your organizational vision.
We see emotions as ‘the energy that moves us,’ which means that just having good intentions or a desire for emotional wellness won’t be sufficient to produce it. Employees will need to understand what emotions are, how to identify theirs, how to navigate them, and what practices will strengthen emotions as a competence.

Workplace Wellness = Physical Wellness + Emotional Wellness
Physical wellness is a preventive strategy to avoid possible diseases. We can apply the same approach in the domain of emotional wellness. Most people suffer from emotions or demonstrate inappropriate behavior not because they are mentally ill, but because they lack emotional learning and self-awareness. Most of us learned emotions from our parents, families, or teachers, but what if these role models were emotionally illiterate? Emotional learning offers an amazing possibility, including emotional wellness to your employees. They will grow in their understanding of their own emotions and those of their family or team members and how to respond to situations rather than merely reacting to them.
Make Emotions Common Sense in Your Workplace
Top 5 Implementation Questions
- What is the prevailing mood in your organization and its commitment to creating an emotionally healthy workplace?
- Are emotions and moods a central part of generating wellness in the workplace?
- Are employees introduced to a practical interpretation of emotions that connects with their’ day-to-day challenges?
- Have employees learned to use emotions as a tool to regulate their emotional state?
- Are they offered Emotions-Centered Coaching to maintain and regain balance?
These are things that are essential to an emotional wellness program. We see emotions as ‘the energy that moves us,’ which means that just having good intentions or a desire for emotional wellness won’t be sufficient to produce it. Employees will need to understand what emotions are, how to identify theirs, how to navigate them, and what practices will strengthen emotions as a competence.
